Fined the administration 200 dinars and ordered it to pay the costs

For the second consecutive time, the Court of Appeal ordered the administrative authority to pay KWD 200 in legal fees and bear the court costs. The Court also overturned the judgment of the Court of First Instance and cancelled the decisions issued by the Medical Liability Authority and the Medical Licensing Administration to suspend a doctor’s licence for six months, following findings by the Technical Medical Committee that she had committed medical malpractice and professional misconduct.

The case arose from a complaint filed against the doctor before the Medical Liability Authority, alleging medical malpractice and professional misconduct. The complaint resulted in several legal proceedings against her, including a compensation claim of KWD 50,000.

However, in its final judgment, the Court of Appeal annulled the decisions of the Medical Liability Authority and the Medical Licensing Administration, together with all resulting legal consequences. It also ordered the administrative authority to pay KWD 200 in legal fees and bear the court costs.
