He has over 24 years of experience in corporate affairs, regulatory matters, and compliance across the Middle East, Europe, and offshore financial centers. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) and is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, India.
Prior to joining Alshayji Legal Group, he served as Vice President of Legal and Compliance at Watani Investment Company (NBK Wealth) in Kuwait, where he spent more than 15 years leading legal and compliance functions within a highly regulated financial services environment.
His experience includes advising on alternative investment funds, cross-border transactions, corporate structuring, and regulatory matters involving leading international regulatory authorities, including the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA).
His areas of expertise include investment funds, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, regulatory compliance in the financial sector, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT), the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act/Common Reporting Standard (FATCA/CRS), and data protection.
